15th July 2012 Hiking - Walking: Levington Wind Direction: w Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: Woke up to sunshine !!! thats a novel experience :) but full of cold too :( so that knocked the windsurfing on the head !!! as I fancied some longboard sailing at FRelixstowe or Levington. So instead Mag and I took our breakfast to Levington,sat at the marina entrance and enjoyed the high tide watching the yachts leave :) We then decided to don our walking boats and head up river to see how muddy it was after all the rain ?? Lucky for us the mud wasn't too bad and we were out for two and a half hours :) and the I held up well despite the cold :) With the tide now dropping there was a few birds about as we made our way around Levington Creek and made it as far as Pin Mill on the top wood path before returning along the river beach by which time the sun had disappeared :( So we covered 5 miles and no rain - nice day :) |
